Caramel (glider subspecies, not a color)
 
This little boy is an exceptional example of what a Caramel glider should be!  He is extremely calm and sweet!  Loves people and will make an excellent new family member.

Note: The Caramel Glider is a special subspecies of sugar glider that have been recently imported into the United States, as recently as 2009. Caramels were wild caught on an island in Indonesia. Many people refer to Caramels as a sugar glider color, but in fact their look is the normal look for this subspecies from Merauke. We do not know exactly what subspecies these are, but we do know they are incompatible with all standard gray varieties currently in the US pet community. When you mix a caramel with any standard grey color variety, the result is sterile males. The females from these pairings will also continue to produce sterile males for several generations.
