Terms of Adoption

Our main focus here at KyTy Critters is the health, safety, and longevity of the animals that are born into our family.  All of our animals are, to the best of our knowledge, healthy at the time of sale. We do offer a 2-week health guarantee* on all critter purchases, whereas we will provide replacement of a critter of approximately equal value as soon as one is available.

 

One of the main factors in the health of an animal is nutrition, and because of this, we require that all KyTy families use either the KyTy brand food and treats found here at www.kytycritters.com, or a substitute previously approved by us prior to pickup/delivery. If you choose to use an unapproved nutrition source, you will void any warranty provided and may lose the ability to purchase future critters from our family. Also, we cannot be held responsible for any veterinarian expenses incurred after possession of the animal has been transferred.​ In the event of genetic or congenital issue resulting in death of the animal after the two-week period, replacement or partial refund may be negotiated. 

Payments via electronic means (i.e., credit/debit card, PayPal, etc.), cashier's checks, money orders, and (of course) cash are always welcomed. Personal checks will be accepted conditionally, granted they be received and cleared prior to pick up/delivery of the order.  A $25 "bounce fee" will be added to the amount owed for any returned check.

All deposits are non-refundable. Each "full purchase" payment also includes the non-refundable deposit amount that is subject to this withholding, and by choosing to adopt from KyTy Critters, you acknowledge and accept this. 

We want all of our animals to be happy and healthy throughout their entire lives, so if, for any reason, you become unable to provide a suitable home for the animal, and a new home needs to be located, we understand and encourage all our adoptive families to contact us first.  We will do everything we can to help relocate the animal and, when possible, provide an appropriate compensation. This expectation is not time sensitive, and remains in effect for the life of the animal. 

 

If for any reason you wish to return or exchange the animal for reasons other than the health of the animal upon receipt, replacement will be at the discretion of KyTy Critters. Exchanges or returns will be looked into carefully, as all attempts are made to deliver a healthy animal matched to the requests and specifications provided us.

 

Arranging the pickup, delivery, or shipping of your new critter will be completed via email or phone, once payment or deposit are received.  Please be aware that shipping is an additional fee, and will be due in accordance with the agreement of ground or air transport.
